Why hourly instead of a flat per-room rate?
Because every move is different. Two bedrooms with elevator access in a high-rise is a different job than two bedrooms with three flights of walk-up stairs. Hourly with a two-hour minimum keeps it honest — you pay for the time the job actually takes, not a one-size-fits-all guess.
How long does a typical move take?
Studio or 1-bedroom: 2-3 hours. 2-bedroom apartment: 3-5 hours. 3-bedroom house: 5-8 hours. Stairs add roughly 15-20 minutes per flight. We'll give you a tight estimate after the questionnaire so you can budget.
Do you handle pianos, safes, or pool tables?
Upright pianos and standard safes (under 500 lb) yes — we handle those routinely with the right straps and a piano dolly. Grand pianos, baby grands, and very heavy gun safes we refer to a specialty mover. Pool tables we don't disassemble — we move pre-disassembled pieces only.
What if my move runs over the estimate?
We text you when we hit each hour mark so there are no surprises. If you stop us, we stop. If you want us to keep going, we keep going. Nothing happens to the bill without you knowing first.
